KI, Sunday A fine, warm day and an entertaining programme of ring events and competitions attracted a large gathering of spectators to the Whangarci Centennial Summer Show on Saturday, the second day of this nnnttnl fixture. An interesting exhibition ot working sheep dogs was given, and the niannei in which the dogs handled the sheep brought forth applause, which, however, was redoubled when two dogs worked a bantam in the ring and then into a box. A 100 yards sprint between a motor-car, horse, cyclist and runner was also staged and ended in a win for the horse, with the cyclist second, followed by the runner and then the car. The show was officially opened by the patron of the society. Dr. G. Walker. Further awards were:

The grand parade of stock was an imposing sight, and two trotting races created considerable interest. The show was officially opened by Mr. W. S.
