FREEZING WORKERS
BALLOTS FOR OFFICERS Annual ballots were held at the Southdown, Horotiu, Westfield and King's Wharf freezing works nnd the municipal abattoirs last week for various offices during the coming year. Mr. R. Barry was elected president of the district freezing workers' union, and Messrs. A. Tofield and J. B. H. Parry as national executive councillors to the Xew Zealand Freezing Workers' Association. The following officers were elected for the West field branch of the Auckland Freezing Workers' (juion:—Branch president, Mr. R. Harry; branch secretary, ."Mr. J. L. Harris; district executive, Mr. A. Tofield.
