ROTORUA BRANCH UNITED WAR CABINET IDEA [by TELEGRAPH OWN" correspondent] ROTORUA, Friday Regret that there was not a united war Cabinet was expressed in a resolution passed at the annual meeting of the Rotorua branch of the National Party, held in St. John's Hall last night. The meeting, however, pledged the branch to do all in. its power to assist the national war effort. It was decided to forward a remit to party headquarters supporting universal military service. At the conclusion of the formal business Mr. H. W. Nixon, chairman of the electoral committee. spoke on the issues confronting the party. An analysis of the financial position of the country was given by Mr. C. H. Clinkard. who was unanimously elected chairman for the ensuing year. AH other officers of the branch were re-elected.
