Mrs. D. Too, of Mount Roskill, Auckland. is spending, a holiday wjtli Mrs. M. Mandono, Soiherstown, Te Arolia. M'iss Joyce Bates has loft to spend an extended holiday in New Plymouth. _ Mrs. P. M. Wadsworth and Miss Joyce Wadsworth, Waitoa, have returned from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. F. S. Caldwell is spending a holiday at Thornton's Bay. Mrs. J. Buchanan is visiting Wellington. . Mrs. F. W. Bates, Te Arolia, is visiting Whangarei. Mrs. R. Montgomery, Waihou, is spending a holiday at the Mount, Tauranga. Two members of the crew of H.M.S. Achilles were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Conning, Elstow, on Saturday. The guests of honour were Potty-Officer A. Conning, brother of the host, and Stoker J. Green. Vivid stories of their experiences wore related by tlie guests, who also allowed photographs of the engagement on the River Plate.
