Mrs. W. E. Crawford has returned from a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. T. Mitchell is a visitor to Auckland.
Mrs. Collinson, of Auckland, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. D. Singer, of Whangarei. Mrs. G. J. Goodwin will leave this week for Wellington and the South Island. i Mrs. A. Brown was a visitor to Te Aroha this week. Mrs. A. Almond has returned to Whangarei from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. I). Grayson is a visitor to Auckland. Mrs. Morgan, of Apia, is the guest of Mrs. W. G. Whitmore, of Whangarei. Mrs. E. O'Hara, of Masterton, is the guest of Mrs. C. Croelman, of Whangarei. Mrs. Soich has returned from a holiday spent in the Waikato. Miss M. Lawrie has returned from a holiday spent in the Wellington and Nelson districts. Mrs. Aldred is visiting Wellington. Miss M. Muir, who has been in Whangarei, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. Gunn, of Auckland, who has boon the guest of Mrs. F. L. Gunn, of Whangarei, lias returned south. Mrs. G. Wilding has returned from a motor trip to Wellington. .Mrs. C. V. Stringer will return to Whangarei this week from an extended holiday in Auckland. On the eve of her departure from the Whangarei Hospital, of which institution she has been sub-matron for a number of years, Miss Ruff was the guest at a farewell function held at the Nurses' Home. A presentation on behalf of the staff was made by the matron, Miss I'-. Swavne, to Miss Ruff.
A comprehensive report of the year's activities was read bv the retiring president, M iss M. Hinuncl, at the annual meeting of the Whangarei branch of the Pan-Pacific Women's Association. Officers elected were:—President, Miss 15. Kidson; secretary, INI iss B. M. R a bone; treasurer, Mrs. L. G. Michaels.
