PRESBYTERIAN INTERESTS Matters affecting the welfare of Presbvterians on active service were discussed at the recent meeting in Wellington of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. The action of the chaplains' committee in accepting the oiler of the Y.M.C.A. of the use of its social and recreational facilities, in common with other Churches, was endorsed. Misgivings were expressed at reports that certain denominations were already seeking special privileges. The assembly commended to members and adherents of the Presbyterian Church the appeal being made by the Y MC A., calling attention to the fact that social and" welfare work among Presbyterians on active service was beine done by tbe Church, working through the Y.M.O.A.
