AVONDALE WOMEN'S CLUB
A year of progress in which much work had been done in the interests of the district was reported at the annual meeting of the Avondale Women's Club this week. Mrs. Thorn presided. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs. Beamish; vice-presidents, Mrs. Whale, Mrs. Hedges and Mrs. McCready; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Abercrombie; committee, Mrs. Skelton, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Browne, Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Ridgen, Mrs. Earland and Mrs. Uffindell.
