PRESBYTERY FAREWELL
MISSIONARIES FOR INDIA A largely-attended farewell was given by tho Auckland Presbytery at ' St. David's Church last evening to Dr. and Mrs. A. .T. Henderson, who are leaving this week to join the staff of the Mission Service at Jagadhri, in the / Punjab. The moderator, the Rov. P. Glad""Btoiie Hughes, stressed the urgent necessity of inaintaining and extending the Christian mission enterprise in. this time of world crisis. Bepresentative speakers gave messages of goodwill to the outgoing missionaries ana said that the Church was proud to be repre- > sentecl by workers so highly qualified and fitted for their task. ■ In responding, Dr. Henderson said he felt that in taking up this work he would he dealing not with the result,, hut v.-ith the root causes of war.
