GOODS FROM NEUTRALS
ISSUE OF CERTIFICATES [by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON. Friday Further reference to the regulations recently made providing for the production of certificates of origin and interest for goods imported from neutral countries in Europe was made by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, today. Mr. Nash said that it had been decided in the meantime not to utilise the services of the New Zealand Trade and Tourist Commissioner in Brussels in the issue of certificates for goods exported to New Zealand from Belgium. Certificates for goods exported from Belgium to New Zealand would be issued by the British consular officers in that country. ..This action was being taken to avoicßanv possible confusion which might arise when, the goods were passing through the contraband control service.
