REVIEW OF PROSPECTS THE PRESIDENT'S HANDICAP MARLENE LIKELY FAVOURITE BY ABAYDOS The Auckland Trottiripj Club's Summer Meeting will bo concluded :tt Epsom to-day, when fine fields are again | engaged. The chief event will be the President's Handicap, in which horses who raced prominently in the Auckland Trotting Cup arc engaged. A fresh one in the class is Horsepower, who scored decisively yesterday in the Ranfurly Handicap, and lie should givo the race added interest. After the President's Handicap, Noll Volo will make an attempt to lower tlio mile trot tins record of Worthy Queen, 2.3 3-5, established at Addinglon in 1031. REPOSE CHANGES HANDS SALE TO MR. N. HORSCROFT Prior to tho Dominion Handicap at ,Ensom yesterday, Repose was purchased .by Mr. N. Horscroft, of Tirau, from J. J. Kennorley, in whoso interests slio won at tho Waikato meeting. A few years ago Mr. Horscroft successfully raced Liinosa and Anita Fame, and in recent seasons ho has been represented by Scwnna, who is trained by Konnerley. Roposo is a four-year-old mare by Jack Potts from Tho Shrow, and, although she failed yesterday, her future prospects are bright.
