ELDERLY WOMAN'S DEATH
[fjiom our own* coiuikspondknt] PUKEKOIIE, Thursday The inquest into the death of Mrs. Annie Crowhnrst, aged GO, whose body was found floating in the Waikato River at Mercer on. November 8, was concluded at Pukckoho to-day before the district coroner, Mr. C. K. Lawrie. Evidence was given that Mrs. Crowhurst lived alone at Mercer. She had appeared for some time to be depressed on account of the state of her health. The coroner returned a verdict that deceased met her death by drowning in the Waikato River, but there was no evidence to show how she came to be in tlie water,
