ROPE OF BEDCLOTHES
A familv of six escaped down a rope made of bedclothes when their home was destroyed by fire at Sheffield, Lngland. , , The outbreak occurred at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hudson, in Fishponds? lload, while the family were in bed. A neighbour discovered the blaze and climbed up a drain pipe to warn Mrs. Hudson, her three daughters and /two sous, Mr. Hudson at the time was- engaged on A.U.P. work. One of the sons rushed the rest of the family .into the bedroom least affected by smoke. There they knotted together some bedclothes and lowered themselves to safety from tha jrindo®*
