MORRINSVJIiLE VALUES COW BEEF RATES FIRM KEEN DEMAND FOR BACONERS [from our own correspondent] MORTtINSVILLE, Friday An average yarding of, cattle containing a small entry of cow beef came forward at the Morrinsville stock sale to-day values for most classes being firm at late rates. Boner cows and potter bulls realised prices equal to recent quotations. Yearling Jersey heifers were entered in good numbers, top price being £6 lis. A small offering of ( dairy cattle sold readily at late rates. Bidding was steady for a fair yarding of sheep and a total clearance was effected. Offerings of two-tooth wethers and woolly two-tooth ewes created keen interest. Competition for baconers and porkers was very keen. Prices for a heavy penning of stores and - weaners showed a decline on lato rates. Choppers also sold at reduced prices. Friday An average yarding of cattle was received at the weekly stock sale at Pukekohe, conducted by the 2Cew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited. Beef and store cattle sold at late rates, while there was a fair demand fot quality dairy cattle. A large yarding of both fat and store pigs was received. Fat pigs sold under keen competition and "Westneld rates were well maintained. Store pigs also sold well at the opening of the sale, but became harder to quit in the closing .stages, and values cased accordingly.
