FARM WORKERS' HOURS

Sir, —As a farm hand who lias knocked around a bit, I agree with W. Thompson's letter on farm labour. During this present season, X have had four different jobs in tr3*ing to secuie one of fairly good hours. I am up at 4.30 every morning and work from then until 6.30 at night, with breaks of one hour for breakfast and one and a-half hours for lunch. On an average I do Hi hours a day for five and a-half days a week. On a farm not far from where I work, the hours are about 16 a day and they are always looking for a man. There is no shortage of farm labour for the right bosses. Farm Hand.
