SLY GROG CASE

PERSONS ON PREMISES Charges of being found on sly grog premises on September 22 were preferred against Frederick John Copley, Andrew May and Adam Moka in the Pol ice Court yesterday, before Mr. J. Morling. S.M. Copley pleaded not May guilty, and Muko did not appear. Sergeant Siuthworth gave, evidence of executing a search warrant on the premises, where he seized 2G dozen bottles, of beer. Ho found eight men in a room, including the three defendants. Copley said he was visiting the fwife of the occupier, who was his gistfer, and Moka said he had called to ge,e ' the occupier regarding transport to his work. May and Moka were each fined £2 and costs, 10s, and- the charge against Copley was dismissed.
