PROBATION FOR YOUTH Thefts from two Auckland boardinghouses' resulted in the appearance in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. C. R. Orr Walker, S.M., of Ronald Borden, labourer, aged IS. He. plea dec! guilty to charges of stealing a rug, two blankets and a sheet valued at £3 12s, the property of Mary Simms Shoppard, and of stealing gramophone records valued at £1 los, the property of Edna Swinburne. Tlio magistrate, in admitting accused to two years' probation, ordered him to make restitution of tlio stolen property.
