BRITISH MUSIC CONCERT [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN* COUKESPONDEN'T] WELLINGTON, Thursday The first concert of the 1939-1940 season of the British Music Society, held in Wellington last night, was attended by Her Excellency Viscountess Galway. The concert hall had been attractively decorated with cherry blossom, rhododendrons and lilac. . Her Excellency, who was accompanied by Miss Simpson, wore a frock of coral ' blistered crepo and threequarter coat of nutroa. She was received bv the president of the society, Mr. W. M. Page, and Mrs. Page, and by the honorary organiser for Now Zealand, Mjss Valerie Corless. At the close of the programme a buffet supper was served.
