LONDON CONFIDENT DOMINION STOCKS WANTED HIGHER VALUE OF EXPORTS LONDON, Oct. -25 Confidence on the Stock Exchange is well maintained. Gill-edged securities are firmer all round. Tlu-re is considerable buying in Australians and New Zealand*. Australian 5 per cents touched £IOO 5s and New Zealand 4 J per cent. 1948-58, £BO los. The financial editor of the Daily Mail suggests that the demand is due to the jdea that history may repeat itsell and that the value of exports may rise substantially as they did in the last war. GOLD AND SILVER LONDON, Oct. 2f> Gold is unchanged at £8 8s a fine ounce. Silver is quoted at 22 13-16 d per ounce for standard, and 21£ d for fine.
