CHARGE OF ASSAULT
COMMITTED FOR TRIAL -'.Charged "with assaulting Clement West bury Dew on May 5 so as to cause actual bodily harm, John Walter Tinslev appeared on summons in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. C. 11. Orr Walker, S.M. Evidence was called by Sub-Inspector Flanagan, alleging that Dew was in a city hotel when accused struck him on the face, breaking four bones in his jaw, and fracturing his nose. Mr. Sneddon, for accused, entered a plea of-not guilty and reserved his defence. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, and was released on probation until the next session.
