TOTAL REACHES OVER £7OOO [BY TELEGRAPH—rUESS ASSOCIATION'] - Wellington; Thursday Proof of debts totalling £7042 was-/ placed before the Official Assignee at a meeting of creditors in the_ bankruptestate of Raymond F. Nelson, advertising salesman, who was stated to hare left New Zealand last August and sub- ~ sequentlv has not been traced. The names of several other creditors, besides those who put in proofs of debt, were , mentioned at the meeting. On the suggestion of the assignee, it was decided that the facts be placed before the Crown Prosecutor for an''--, opinion as to possible further proceed- »- ings. and also to make further in-'-quiries regarding any financial trans- -«• actions bankrupt might.hnvd carried out bet'oro leaving the Dominion.
