Winds.—Northerly to westerly predominating at first, mainly moderate in force, but strong at times in the central provinces; a change to fresh southerlies setting in shortly in the south and probably extending to beyond Cook Strait to-morrow. Seas.—New Zealand waters: Rough in the Cook Strait area, otherwise slight to moderate, but rising south of Banks Peninsula and about Foveaux Strait. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate northerly winds and moderate seas at first, but a change to strong southerlies advancing from tlio south-wost. Weather. —Unsettled in western districts south of Taranaki and in the far south, with rain at times. Otherwise fair to" cloudy, but becoming showery and colder with tho southerly_ change.
