MAGICIANS' FESTIVAL
INTERNATIONAL EVENT To commemorate "International Magic Day," the anniversary of the death of Houdini, members of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Society of Magicians will perform at a number of Auckland institutions on Saturday afternoon. Homes to be visited will be the Wilson Home, Takapuna, the Brett Home, Takapuna, the Orphanage Home, Papatoetoe, the Dingwall Orphanage, Papatoetoe, the Children's Home, Manurewa', the Salvation Army Orphanage. Heme Bay, the Wesley Home, Mount Albert, and the Leslie Orphanage, Onehunga. "International Magic Day" was inaugurated some years ago in the United States with the plan that every Magicians' Society and " individual magicians throughout the country should use the anniversary to visit, as, many institutions ami under-privileged children as possible. Last year ,the commemoration was held in England ant! on the Continent and this year the event has spread to aii even -wider hold. Members of southern, branches in New Zealand will also call"at orphanages in their own towns on Saturday.
