LEADING GOLFER FINED
Tlie Australian professional polfer. Norman von Nida, was recently fined £'l2 for aliened negligence in a motor-car collision. The claim was brought against him by Alex Bortlnvick, who alleged that, von Nida was negligent in a collision between his car and that of von Nida in July. Von Nida, who conducted his own case, denied negligence. lie claimed that, the aliened damace could not hiive been caused by him backing his car only Oft. Mr. J. F. Nagle, for Borthwick, said, "That may sound impossible to you, Mr. von Nida, but your golf scores I read of seem impossible to mo."
