PRESBYTERIAN ACTIVITIES YEAR'S WORK REVIEWED Details of the work of the Auckland Presbyterian Orphanages and Social Service Association are recorded in the report to be presented at the annual meeting of the association this e\enin". The boys camp at Mahurangi Heads, where 33 boys spent six weeks last summer, conist's of a dormitory with 32 fixed-in bunks, kitchen, dining room and two small rooms. . There are 75 boys and girls in residence at the Leslie Home, and during the summer 35 of the girls were given holidays with friends in the country. The property trustees hold £3OOO in the Mennic Scholarship Fund, the interest on which is available for boys' scholarships. The men's meetings on Sunday morniiurs in the Edinburgh Street Hall are followed bv a breakfast for them. The Sundav school and Bible classes there are looked after by a loyal and regular Ipand of voung men and young women. The Sunday evening service continues to be well attended and the Girls' C.'lub. has an average attendance of 30. Attendances at the mothers' meeting have reached the high average of 110 The report also reviews the visiting carried out at the Auckland Hospital, the Infirmary, Knox Home, the Auckland Mental Hospital and Auckland gaol. About 30 of the boys from the homes are now working on farms in various localities, and the superintendent, the Rev. 'l'. Halliday, keeps in close touch with them.
