MODEL FARM DISPLAY

CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION CONSTRUCTION ' IN AUCKLAND Complete with cows, pigs, sheep, jind all the necessary buildings, a model farm which lias, been made in Auckland will be one of the most interesting exhibits at the Centennial Exhibition in Wellington. The farm, which is to be incorporated iu a combined exhibit for the New Zealand cement companies, has been designed to show the uses of concrete on the modern farm. The designer and constructor, Mr. W. Baker, who was responsible for the construction of the Dominion Court at the Exhibition, has made the farm most realistic, using such materials as wood, wire, paint, sawdust, moss, and mirror glass. The moss, which was obtained from the Waitakere Ranees, has been used for trees, and the glass represents the water of a creek. *'\ Within a comparatively small space are all the buildings and equipment of a modern farm. There is a tall silo, a piggery, tb.e latest type of sheep dip; and a cowshed with a herd of miniature Jersey. cows.
