AUCKLAND MARKET REOPENS GAINS BY AUSTRALIAN SCRIP Thf> share market retained its activity when the Auckland Stock Exchange reopened yesterday after the holiday. Leading Australian industrials again were prominent, with, more substantial gains. Inquiry for Government loans and rvew Zealand banks was inclined to bo irregular. Insurances remained firm. Broken Hills and G. J. Coles were prominent. in dealing, while offers for Colonial Sugars wore lifted substantially. Now Zealand scrip generally was weaker, but Wilsons Cement was an exception. Fiji gold shares rose on the dividend announcements, but Wuihi Investments were marked down.

PAPER MILLS DIVIDEND The directors of Now Zealand Paper Mills, Limited, have declared an interim dividend at the unchanged rate of 3 cent.
