Tuesday I The Centennial Exhibition was I visited this morning by Lady Gal way, who spent about, an hour and a-half ! inspecting the buildings and grounds. Lady Gal way was accompanied by Captain Lord Dormer, A.D.C., and Mr. T. C. A. llislop. chairman of directors of the exhibition company, Mrs. Hislop, and Mr. C. P. Hainsworth, general manager of the exhibition company. Those engaged in preparing the courts and exhibits are down to detail work now and on every hand there is much activity. Among other visitors to the exhibition to-day was -Mr. A. G. Anderson, of Sydney, representative of the Australian Outdoor Amusement Company, which will be putting on a show of freak people, a Chinese troupe of 15 performers in n Chinese village in the plavland section. Mr. Anderson recently returned from a trip to the United States, where, he visited the New York World Fair and the San Francisco Exhibition. He said he was agreeably .surprised with the scale and standard of the exhibition at ."Wellington. He praised the lay-out of the grounds and the design of the buildings, and said he had also been very much impressed by the way the plavland had been featured. Instead of being something that was incidental, it had been given a prominent place. The visitor had 110 hesitation in saying it compared more than favourably with the section devoted to amusement devices at the San Francisco Exhibition. There was no jumble of stalls. Everything was laid out in an orderlv manner, and in the construction a high standard was maintained throughout.
