The Rev. B. A. Noakes, of Stratford. has_ been appointed a chaplain to the Now Zealand Division of the Royal Navy and attached to H.M.S. Leander.
Mr. C. V. Dayus, district superintendent at Dunedin for tlio Department of Agriculture, has returned to New Zealand from a 12 months' trip to England.
The Pev. M. A. Got, until lately Presbyterian minister at Grey Lynn and Richmond, has been inducted into the_ charge of St. Andrew's Church, Waipukurau.
-Mr. A. T. Pycroft, ■who with Mrs. Pycroft has been on a visit to England. has returned to Auckland. When in England Mr. Pycroft attended a conference of the Museums' Association of Great Britain.
The Hons. A. Burns, E. P. Davis and J. A. MrCullough, M.L.C.'s, arrived in Auckland bv train on Saturday morning. The Hons. J. Alexander, T. Blood worth, E. Dye and B. Martin, M.L.C.'s, arrived yesterday.
Mr. P. L. Halke, of the Auckland Magistrate's Court staff, has been transferred to OpotikL as temporary clerk of the Court during the absence of Mr. A. E. Johnson, who has been called up for military service.
