NORTH CHINA TROUPE

SEASON AT HIS MAJESTY'S The North China Troupe, which will present, a further performance at His Majesty's Theatre to-night, is responsible for nn entirely different type of vaudeville from that usually staged in Auckland. An amazing series of acts in colourful and typically Oriental fashion is given by the 15 talented artists in Hie show, which moves at a fast pace throughout. The second portion of the programme is characterised by almost incredible feats of acrobatics, dancing and gymnastics, one of the features being the performance of Mademoiselle Wang Tsun, who. while suspended in mid-air by her hair, goes through a series of contortions. Another "popular member of the troupe is Chin Cliiu. an attractive dancer. Yung Show Yuen's hand-balancing on the top of 12 chairs is a feature that is typical of the whole performance. Known as the nine-year-old Chinese "Uobbv Breen," Herbert Young sings soprano songs in perfect English, a language he acquired at live years of age. I'lie first pari of the programme is devoted to European vaudeville acts.
