CHOIRS' RECITAL
RED CROSS BENEFIT NIGHT The Auckland Juvenile Choir, assisted by the Auckland Ladies' Choir, presented a well-varied programme in till* Lewis Kady Hall last, night in aid of the I'nmis of the Hod Cross Society.
The large aii'lienee appreciated the various items to the full and many encores were necessary. .Much tribute is due to the organiser-conductor. I Holmes, who exercised sound control of the voices at her command. Mesides items by the choirs individually and combined, solos were given by Allan Saunders, lan Mutterworth. Kileen I'ainey and ]\liss Molly Holding, while a piano rluet was presented by Phyllis Bloy and ICvelyn Prime. A particularly fine rendering of 11 Bncio was given by the combined choirs as the final' item.
