Winds. —Fresh to strong easterly to couth-easterly over the Auckland Province; elsewhere light to moderate and variable at first, but with northerly gradually predominating in the south and later freshening. Seas.—New Zealand waters: Rough north of East Cape; elsewhere slight or moderate, but later rising south of "SVestport. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong , but decreasing easterly winds and rough seas in the northern portion; moderate but freshening northerly- winds and slight but rising seas in the central and southern portions.
