£500,000 FORTUNE
IRISHMAN'S ESTATE NEARLY 1000 CLAIMANTS LONDON, - Aug. 18 An attempt to discover the fate of' Lefty MacCaulay, who married Thomas Lindsay and migrated to Australia in 1820, is delaying the completion of the inquiry in connection with the £500,000 estate of an Irishman, Hazlett Kyle Campbell, who died intestate in St. Louis last year. There are 950 claimants. An American law officer, Mr. Joseph Nangle, is now in London in connection with the inquiry. Mr. Nangle has travelled 30,000 miles investigating claims and has opened his British inquiry in a special Court, in which he follows American legal procedure. He wears no gown or wig, and swore-in a dozen fitnesses jointly.
