RUGBY FOOTBALL

BIG MATCH TO-MOBKOW CANTERBURY AND AUCKLAND FIXTURE FOR EDEN PARK PERSONNEL OF THE TEAMS One of tho finest attractions of the Rugby season in Auckland will be the meeting at Eden Park to-morrow afternoon of tlio Auckland and Canterbury representative fifteens. Regular patrons of Eden Park regret the fact that the match has to be played in mid-week on account of tho difficulty of fitting in fixtures in such a heavy representative season. However, there is every reason to expect a largo attendance. Canterbury teams in the past have been noted for their bright displays, and the combination which arrived in Auckland yesterday afternoon should prove no exception to the rule. Tlio forwards are a good, lively pack, while the backs are fast and handle the ball in brilliant manner. Following its defeat at Napier, the team has undergone some alteration. The forwards have been rearranged with another hooker, while in the backs F. Allen replaces L. L. Ellis at five-eighths, and A. G. Hunter takes the placo of J. M. Ballantyno at centrethreequarter.
