CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
SKEET CHAMPIONSHIP The Metropolitan Gun Club conducted the 1039 North Island skeet championship at Mangere. D. P. North, of Whangarei, holder of the title, and also club champion for the past two years, retained the championship by a decisive win over the other competitors. The highest scores were:—D. P. North. 21. 2:5—17; R. G. White, 24, IS—--42; E. C. Thomasen, 10, 2:3 —39; A. L. Byrne, 20, 19—3D; F. H. Seecombe, 21, 15 — 36; C. A. Whitney. IS. 16—31.
