MISSING AUCKLANDER DISAPPEARANCE IN MARCH CAR LEFT IN PARKING AREA FALSE PRETENCES CHARGE Two constables from Motucka went to a fruit farm about two and a-half miles from the township early yesterday morning and arrested Kric Stanley Watts, aged 35. an insurance agent, who disappeared , from Auckland early in March. AYatts, who admitted his identity, will appear in the Motucka Police Court this morning on a false pretences charge, before he is brought to Auckland this week. The mysterious disappearance of Watts has occupied the close attention of Detective W. H. Slater throughout the past five months, and has been the cause of widespread inquiries. Watts' car was found 011 Saturday, March 11, in the parking area on the old dock site at the foot of Sturdee Street, close to the waterfront between Queen's Wharf and Princes • Wharf, but he had not been seen since* the previous Wednesday, March 8, when he left the office of the Temperance and General Assurance Society, by whom lie was employed, to keep a business appointment at Waimauku. In the car were found Watts' hat and some insurance documents, but nothing to indicate he had met with an accident.

On the following Tuesday, March 14, it was 'reported that Watts was missing and that anxiety was felt for his safety.
