NEW ORAKEI STREET
To commemorate an Auckland pioneer, a new street in .the Orsis. State housing block will be called Ih°nison Leys Street. Dr. Thomson Wilson Leys was a journalist-and for many Tears took a very active part in . !r!- r land affairs. He was .the founder « the Leys Institute, Ponsonby. -Ea death occurred in 1924. The s ' name was chosen by the Mayor, Ernest Davis, iu his capacity man of the Auckland Provincial Untennial Council.
