NEW FILM FOR CIVIC
The history of two of tlic greatest ballroom dancers ever known is told in "The Story of Vernon and Ireno Castle," which will bo presented nt the Civic Theatre next week. Main roles in the film, which adheres faithfully to the real story, nre taken by Fred Astairo and Ginger Rogers, and oversens critics have agreed that a more suitable pair would bo hard to find. The Castles, in fact, wore the Astnire and Rogers of their day, and almost the first couple to make straight-for-ward dancing a featured programme item. Vernon Castle died in an air crash after the Great War, in which ho flew for the Allies without mishap. Irene Castle is still alive, and herself Slayed in screen roles in the silent days, he was in Hollywood while the film was being produced.
