YORKSHIRE SOCIETY

A SOCIAL EVENING A very enjoyable social evening was held on Wednesday in the Now Savo'y tea rooms by members of the Yorkshire Society and their friends. The guests wcro received by Mrs. 11. G. Staley, wife of the president, assisted by Mrs. H. Caton and Mrs. Vnrian. Cards and dancing were the main entertainment provided for the guests, and two songs were rendered by Mrs. Irwin, whose accompanist was Mrs. Haywood. The ladies of the committee, comprising Mrs. Stone, Mrs. Knapton, Mrs.' Barker and Sirs. Ashworth, arranged the supper. At'the close of the evening prizes were presented by Mrs. Caton ;to Mrs. Irwin and Mr. Knapton. for cards, Mr. and Mrs. Ball for the Monte Carlo dance, and Mrs. H. Bishop for the lucky number.
