TROLLEY BUS SERVICE
Sir, —In perusing the controversy between the Auckland Transport Board and the chairman of tho One Tree Hill Road Board re the laying of tram rails in Campbell Road, I was pleased to note that the Transport Board has at last awakened to the great necessity of providing inter-communication between the main tram routes that radiate from the centre of the city to the various suburbs. Why not go further and link up tho whole of the outer suburban areas by running a trackless trolley bus service commencing at Mount Albert Road, running along Mount Roskill Road to Royal Oak, continuing through Campbell Road down to Ellerslie Township, up the Ladies' Mile along Remuera Road and down Upland Road, to the city via Shore Road-Brighton Road-St. Stephen's Avenue and Gladstone Road? This service would accommodate a great need, as at the present moment residents living in one portion of the outer suburbs are forced to journey into the city so they can make a connection with a tram going through a neighbouring suburb. J. W. Reeves.
