BREEDER OF CATTLE
MR. LOUIS HOLDEN'S DEATH , A SUCCESSFUL FARMER The dcatli has occurred of Mr. Louis Holden. a well-known resident of Epsom. Born in Bombay, India, 85 years ago. Mr. Holden caine to New Zealand as a young man and farmed'successfully in the Feilding district, where lie was well known as a breeder of pcdit gree Polled Angus cattle. About 35 years ago he moved 'with liis wife and family to Te Aroha.
After Mrs. Holder's death in 1914, Mr. Holden, although too old to enlist, went to England, where he worked in the Woolwich Arsenal, and finally went to Franco with the New" Zealand Y.M.C.A. He is survived by three daughters, and there are eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral took place at Feilding yesterday. <
