Prices wore about on a p*r with levels ruling at tho close 0 f last week,-and tho undertono was firm. Government, loans were steady, with slightly more sellers entering tho market. Hanks were stationary, and New Zenlands sold unchanged. Although Katioiials • changed hands slightly cheaper, other leading insurances strengthened. Auckland Gas wore availAble at late rates. Overseas industrials presented a slightly stronger front, and Broken Hill Proprietary gained some ground in dealing. British Tobacco sold lower j r the first transfer for about three weeks. Woohvorths (Sydney) continued to improve. Now Zealand industrials showed only minor price variations.
