GERMAN SHIPPING STATE AID EXPECTED LONDON, July Q1 It is expected that the State Trill be compelled to assist the German shipping industry, which is facing acute troubles, says the Berlin correspondent of the Financial News. "The problems," says the writer, "are partly due to the shortage of raw materials and labour for the necessary building programme and partly because German yards are giving preference to foreign orders for the purpose of obtaining foreign exchange. "There is delay in replacement and slow and out-dated German ships are enabling foreign owners to capture trade."
