BRITISH RESERVISTS 12,000 CALLED UP READINESS FOR CRISIS 641,000 ON SERVICE By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Independent Cable Service (Received July 31, ll.r>o p.m.) LONDON, July 31 Twelve thousand naval reservists called up for duty with the Reserve Fleet reported this morning at the various depots, and in a few days' time all the vessels of the Reserve Fleet will be fully manned,. munitioned and ready for any emergency throughout August and September.
The King's review will be held at Weymouth on August 0, when His Majesty will see 130 vessels, which will be available to reinforce the permanent squadrons and flotillas. By August 4, the anniversary of Britain's entry into .the Great War, Britain will have 641,000 men on active service, made up of 135,000 Territorials, 34,000 militiamen, 140,000 sailors, 12,000 naval reservists, 220,000 men of the Regular Army and 100,000 airmen.
