POWER SALES HIGHER
INCREASE OF £24,000 RETURNS FOR THREE' MONTHS Sales of current by the Auckland Electric-Power Board during the quarter ended June 30 totalled £234,301, an increase of approximately £24,000. compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to a return presented at a meeting of the board yesterday.
domestic supply sales amounted to £106,727, compared with £93.227 in the corresponding quarter of last year, power £65,560, compared with £58.413, and lighting £36,736, compared with £35,174. A statement of expenditure has not yet been completed. •
The chairman, Mr. S. J. Harbutt: It is very satisfactory from my way of thinking. Mr. S. Irwin Crookes: It is a pity we did not have those stovos; otherwise our revenue would have been over £1,000,000 for the year.
