"THE MODERN SPIRIT"
A recital of unusual interest will take place in the University College Hall this evening when Professor W. A. Sewell will read examples of English poetry illustrating the modern spirit. A selection of recordings from the Carnegie music set has been made by Professor H. Hollinrako to illustrate parallel tendencies in modern music.'This selection will include portion of Symphony No. 2, by gibelius, oxamples from Duke Ellington, extracts from Bruckner'# Symphony No, 7, and a string quartet by Bela Bartok. This recital is part of. the University Extension Course, and is free to the public.
