DEATH AT 91
MRS. ESTHER EDWARDS OVER 60 YEARS INL - AUCKLAND An old Auckland identity, Sirs. Esther Edwards, died yesterday at her Tesidence in Armadale Road, Remuera, at the age .of 91. Mrs. Edwards was born at Hanley, Staffordshire, and came to New Zealand by the steamer Te Anau in 1878, among her fellow passengers being the late Sir Henry Brett. ' .
Mrs. Edwards' husband, the late Sir. Joseph Edwards, was for many yews pn the staff of the New Zealand Herald and erected the original Hoe printing machines for the firm. Ha arrived at Auckland by the sailing ship Otago in 1877. Mrs. Edwards retained a very clear - memory almost to the time of her death. ; .T
