PLAYER FAREWELLED . PRESENTATIONS TO MILLIKEN . The Papakura Jlugbv League Club farewelled H. M. 'Milliken, a member of its' senior team, who leaves shortly with the New Zealand' Rugby League team on a tour of England and France, at a-special-social function. n The presentation of a substantial cheque was made to Milliken by the president, Mr; L. McVeagh, who wished him bon voyage and a successful tour. A combination travelling set was presented on behalf of the senior and senior reserve teams by Mr. J. togarty, captain of the senior side. Messrs. I. Stonex, W. Clarke, C..Howe and McNamara, of the Auckland junior control board, and R..Haslam., captain of the Manst senior team,'attended the function.

McAneny, who will ,act as-marshal of the parade of players at' Carlaw Park on Saturday, when'the flag dedication ceremony and farewell to the Auckland members of the New Zealand touring sido will be staged.-Mr. McAneny explained the arrangements made for dressing accom-j moilation 'for v the- riiany junior teams in quarters adjacent to Carlaw Park, where they will appear at 2.30 p.m. The players are requested to assemble at 2 p.m. It was stated that tho function would occupy not much more than 20 minutes and would includo two short speeches and tho presentation of gifts from tho Schoolboys Association to two members of tho Now Zealand team, A. J. Mclnnarney and L. G. Mills, .the first products of Auckland Rugby League school grades to earn national honours with a team going overseas. The Ponso'nby Boys'i Band will be in attendance. A. letter 'expressing appreciation of.vthe refereeing bf the third grade match between. Point Chevalier and 'Ponsonby was received from the Point Chevalier Club, and was referred. to-, tho Referees'- Association, as was a complaint from tho City Hovers Club on the default of a referee sot .'down to control a •recent fourth grade match. A third, fourth, 1 ? fifth and sixth - grade player were severely cautioned for field off enccs. > ■-. , ■ 1 The Northcote and ' Birkenhead Ramblers Club reported that its treasurer, Mr. L. Riley, had resigned, and that Mr. C. Watson had been'appointed. : "
