NASH'S MISSION TERMS FOR NEW LOAN RESTRICTIONS INVOLVED LONDON PAPER'S REPORT By Tolcernph—Press Association —Copyright Independent Cnblo Service LONDON, July 1G According to nn editorial article in Reynolds' News, the organ of the Co-operative Movement, it is now admitted that the terms upon which Now Zealand's Labour Government can raiso the loan it needs in London will involve either further restrictions of imports, to which the Federation of British Industries will object, or restrictions of New Zealand's social programme, to which tho people of the Dominion will object. Now Zealand's fight, *in short, is against a "dictatorship of finance," the paper remarks. REPORT RIDICULED ME. SAVAGE'S COMMENT TALKS ALMOST COMPLETED LAST NEWS ON SATURDAY [BY TELEGRAPH —SPECIAL REPORTER] "WELLINGTON, Monday "To say that Mr. Nash's negotiations in London liavo been postponed indefinitely is ridiculous," said tho Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, referring tonight to the Press Association cablegram from London which was published this morning. The Prime Minister said ho had not heard from Mr. Nash sinco Saturday morning, when the cablegrams indicated that with tho exception of a few outstanding details the negotiations were almost completed. The suggestion that they had now broken down and had been postponed indefinitely was ridiculous and that was all that need be said about it. EIRE AND DOMINION LEADERS COMPLIMENTARY LONDON, July 10 The Daily Telegraph diarist interprets comment on Mr. de Valera's warm welcome to the New Zealand Minister of Finance, Mr. W. Nash, and complimentary references to New Zealand by Mr. J. McEntee, Eire Finance Minister, as indicating that Mr. de Valera is becoming more Empire-minded, which his readiness to appoint commissioners to the Dominions besides Canada corroborates.
