"THE CHINESE PUZZLE"
DRAMATIC CLUB SEASON AN EXCELLENT PRESENTATION The opening performance of "The Chinese Puzzle" by the Grafton Shakespeare and Dramatic Club attracted a large audience to St. Andrew's Hall last night, and the excellent presentation was heartily applauded. Set in a country house in East Anglia and in London, the play has an ingenious plot, which centres round a secret memorandum and works up to a fine climax. Features; of the presentation last night were the striking costuming and properties, everything possible being done to give the play a worthy setting. The play is produced by AI iss N. Lush, with the following cast: —Littleport, J. A. Colhoun; Aimce de Villeseptier, Ngairc Lovio; Lady do la Have, Diana Massen; Sir Roger do la Ilaye, M. Robertson; Naomi Melsham, Zona Ready; Arrnand de Rochecorbon, J. Stanes; Marquis Chi Lung, D. Flood; Dr. Fu Yang, M. Ronnie; Victoria Cress well, Mvra Kemble; Hon. William Hirst, A. McSki mining; Paul Marketed, G. O'Sullivan; Mrs, Melsham, Enid Wood; Sir Aylmcr Brent, F. Walker; Foe Sing, W. Brown. "Tho Chinese Puzzle" will be presented nightly for tho remainder of the week.
