FERTILISER STRIKE
CONFERENCE OF PARTIES FEDERATION COUNCIL MOVE An endeavour will be made to.hold to-day a meeting of representatives of tho employers, the district council of the Federation of Labour and the Fertilisers' Union to discuss the chemical workers' strike. This decision was announced on Saturday at the close of a long discussion by members of tho council disputes committee and tha union. The meeting lasted about an hour and a-half. During that time the various issues in the dispute were thoroughly examined, and finally it was decided to take a course that might bring about a settlement.
